New AHPRA Guidelines
From July 1st, 2023, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) will be implementing the following guidelines for all patients seeking cosmetic surgery:
– A GP referral is required for all cosmetic surgery consultations taking place from July 1st 2023, (this excludes injectable treatments such as fillers and anti wrinkle injections).
– Two preoperative consultations are required with Dr Szalay before surgery can be booked.
The cost for the initial consultation is $75. The second consultation is $37.50 for a video consultation or $75 for in an-person consultation.
*Please note that at least one of these consultations must be in-person.
– A cooling-off period of 7 days following the second consultation will apply to all patients seeking cosmetic surgery before a surgery booking can be made.

Initial Enquiries
If you would like to make an initial enquiry and find out a price prior to coming in, feel free to email
some photos to michael@precisioncosmetic.com.au and let us know your age and the areas of
concern/intended procedure. We can then advise you further and proceed with a consultation later
if you wish.
Booking a consultation
Currently we offer face-to-face consultations every Monday from 9am-3pm. Please bring a copy of your GP referral to your initial appointment or send us a copy prior to your appointment.

To book in for a consultation, we are best contactable over email, but feel free to call us on (07)38397222 to make the appointment if you would prefer.
The consultation fee of $75 is payable on the day. Eftpos is our preferred method of payment however if you prefer to pay cash, please let us know beforehand or have the correct amount as we do not keep much change on hand. Please note that we don’t accept AMEX.
If you are booking a video consultation (Zoom and Skype consultations available), we will request payment prior to the appointment. This can be paid by direct transfer to our bank account or paid over the phone by Eftpos. Generally, we hold video/phone consultations on weeknights at around 6pm. The cost for an initial video consult is $75 and $37.50 if it is a second consult.
Booking a Surgery Date
You will receive a copy of your paperwork after the initial consultation but please don’t sign any of it until after the second consultation. Following the second consultation you will be able to send it back as soon as you’d like. You may fill this out electronically or scan a copy and email it back to us. (Please note that we cannot accept photographs of the pages.)
Once we have received all of your signed paperwork and the cooling-off period has finished, we are able to accept your $600 non-refundable deposit and book in a surgery date. The $600 deposit is deducted from Dr Szalay’s fee and the full amount is due one week prior to the procedure.
Please note that a surgery booking cannot be made prior to receiving the paperwork and deposit, or within the 7 day cooling-off period following the second consult. However, feel free to contact us prior to this to enquire about our current available days for surgery.
Please note that surgeries are performed on specific days and surgery times can change last minute.
